The ALTRONIX CORP AL1042ADA220 is a 10-amp Notification Appliance Circuit (NAC) extender designed to boost and distribute power to fire alarm notification devices across 4 Class A or Class B circuit zones. Operating at 220 volts, this unit provides regulated power for horns, strobes, and other life-safety notification appliances where the main fire alarm control panel cannot supply sufficient output current. It is installed by licensed fire alarm technicians and low-voltage electricians working on commercial and residential fire alarm systems.
This NAC extender is suited for installations where existing fire alarm control panels require additional circuit capacity to drive notification appliances across multiple zones. Class A and Class B wiring configurations are both supported, giving installers flexibility to match the circuit topology required by the system design and applicable codes. The 220-volt input makes this unit appropriate for international or specific regional installations where 220V power distribution is standard.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and expansion unit for commercial and residential fire alarm systems requiring supplemental NAC power distribution at 220 volts.
Installation should be performed by a licensed fire alarm technician or low-voltage electrician in accordance with NFPA 72 and all applicable local codes. Disconnect and lock out all power sources, including the main panel feed and any battery backup, before wiring or servicing the unit. Verify Class A or Class B circuit wiring configuration before connecting notification appliance circuits. Follow the manufacturer wiring diagram and AHJ requirements for supervision and end-of-line resistor placement.
