The ALTECH 1g30um is a thermal magnetic miniature circuit breaker designed for compact, reliable overcurrent protection in electrical distribution systems. Rated at 30 amps and 277 volts, this 2-pole breaker uses a G trip curve to deliver application-specific protection suited to inductive and motor loads. It mounts on standard DIN rail, making panel integration fast and clean. Licensed electricians and industrial controls technicians are the primary installers. The current-limiting design helps reduce let-through energy during fault events, offering a capable alternative to fused protection schemes in both commercial and light industrial panels.
The 1g30um belongs to the ALTECH V-EA Series of miniature circuit breakers, which are engineered for DIN rail-based control panels and distribution boards. The G trip curve is well suited for circuits with high inrush currents, such as those feeding transformers or certain motor loads, where nuisance tripping must be avoided without sacrificing fault protection. The series supports a broad range of accessories, including shunt trips, auxiliary contacts, alarm contacts, undervoltage release modules, and busbars, allowing this breaker to be integrated into automated or monitored panel assemblies.
Designed for use within the ALTECH V-EA Series miniature circuit breaker platform, which supports a full range of DIN rail-mounted accessories including shunt trips, auxiliary contacts, alarm contacts, and undervoltage release modules.
Installation must be performed by a qualified, licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any applicable local codes. De-energize the panel and verify absence of voltage before mounting or wiring the breaker. Secure the unit firmly on the DIN rail before making conductor connections, and confirm that all accessory modules are properly seated before restoring power.
