The ALPHA COMMUNICATIONS SC-100HG is a through-glass intercom unit designed for audio communication through a fixed glass barrier. Operating on AC power, it eliminates the need for battery management and provides continuous, reliable voice communication at service windows, teller stations, reception counters, and secure entry points. The SC-100HG is suited for environments where a physical opening in the glass is not practical or permitted, allowing clear two-way audio without compromising the barrier. Installation is typically handled by low-voltage or security communications technicians.
The SC-100HG is designed for audio-only intercom applications where through-glass communication is required. Typical installations include bank teller windows, pharmacy counters, government service windows, correctional facility visit stations, and commercial reception areas with security glass. The unit functions in both new construction and retrofit scenarios where an existing glass partition is already in place.
Designed as an OEM-style through-glass audio intercom unit for use in commercial and institutional partition installations where AC power is available at the installation point.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage or security systems technician. Power down the circuit before making any AC wiring connections and follow applicable NEC guidelines for low-voltage and communications wiring. Verify that the glass thickness and type at the installation point fall within the parameters outlined in the product data sheet before mounting. Do not attempt to cut or modify the glass partition without appropriate glazing trade involvement.
