An AM300 PVD coating — manufacturer grade C1 (K35) — provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting through ferrous and hard workpiece materials. This insert is suited for CNC machining centers, drilling stations, and manual machines configured with Allied Machine GEN3SYS XT spade drill holders. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician following the drill body manufacturer's torque and seating procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before removing or installing any cutting insert. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surfaces for chips or debris before seating the insert, as contamination can cause improper seating and premature failure.
