The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 60320S-100F is an indexable spade drill designed for high-efficiency hole-making in a wide range of workpiece materials. Built on the GEN3SYS 20 platform, it accepts interchangeable spade drill inserts and delivers consistent bore quality without requiring a solid-carbide tool. The drill covers a diameter range of 0.7874 to 0.8657 inches (20.00 to 21.99 mm), reaches a maximum drill depth of 2-17/32 inches at a 3xD depth-to-diameter ratio, and features a straight flute geometry with axial concentric through-coolant delivery for chip evacuation and heat control. Machinists and tooling specialists working on CNC machining centers install this holder as part of a modular drilling system.
This spade drill body is suited for general-purpose drilling operations across universal workpiece material classifications including cast iron, steel, non-ferrous, and non-metallic materials (material codes K, M, N, P). The standard-length configuration and 1-inch flatted cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard tool holders on vertical and horizontal machining centers. Typical applications include production drilling in job shops, tier suppliers, and in-house machine shops where a single holder can be paired with multiple insert sizes to cover a diameter range without changing the body.
Designed for use with Allied Machine and Engineering GEN3SYS 20 series indexable spade drill inserts covering the 20.00 mm to 21.99 mm (0.7874 to 0.8657 inch) diameter range. Compatible with standard 1-inch bore toolholders on CNC machining centers.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer is disabled before mounting or removing the drill body from the toolholder. Confirm the coolant supply line is compatible with the 1/8 inch NPT coolant port before connecting. Torque the insert retention screw to the insert manufacturer specification printed in the GEN3SYS tooling documentation — do not estimate torque by feel on indexable insert seats.
