The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 433T-0128 is a spade drill insert designed for use in compatible spade drill holder systems. This insert measures 1-7/8 inches in diameter and features a 132-degree point angle, making it suited for drilling operations that require a moderate entry geometry. Constructed from M4-grade high speed steel with a PVD-applied TiN coating, the insert offers wear resistance and extended tool life in demanding cutting applications. Seat Size 3 corresponds to the matching holder size required for proper installation. Licensed machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary installers of this insert type.
This spade drill insert is part of the GEN2 T-A series from Allied Machine and Engineering. It is intended for use in metalworking and machining operations, including production drilling in CNC machining centers, lathes with live tooling, and manual drill presses where spade-style tooling is appropriate. The 0.25-inch blade thickness and fractional-inch sizing system make this insert suitable for shops working to inch-based print tolerances. Primary workpiece material categories include steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals.
Designed for use with Allied Machine and Engineering GEN2 T-A series spade drill holders requiring a Seat Size 3 insert. Suitable for drilling steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metal workpieces per the manufacturer-listed primary workpiece material designations P, K, and N.
Installation of spade drill inserts should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing inserts. Seat the insert fully and evenly in the holder pocket and secure it with the appropriate fastener to the holder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the seating surface and holder pocket for chips or debris before each insert change to prevent runout and premature insert failure.
