The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 433T-0124 is a spade drill insert designed for high-production drilling applications in a wide range of workpiece materials. Part of the GEN2 T-A series, this insert measures 1-3/4 inches in diameter and seats into a Size 3 holder. It is manufactured from M4 grade high speed steel and features a PVD-applied titanium nitride (TiN) coating that reduces friction and extends cutting edge life. The 132-degree point angle suits general-purpose drilling in steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. At 0.25 inches thick, the insert is built for rigidity under high feed rates. Machinists and tooling technicians in metal fabrication, job shops, and production machining environments are the primary users.
This insert is suited for drilling operations in steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals across both manual and CNC machine platforms. The GEN2 T-A series is a common choice in production drilling where indexable spade-style tooling is preferred over solid drills for its cost-per-hole efficiency and the ability to swap inserts without removing the holder from the spindle. It fits Size 3 T-A style holders and is well-matched for workpiece materials coded P, K, and N under ISO material classification.
Designed for use with Size 3 T-A series spade drill holders. Compatible workpiece materials include steel (ISO P), cast iron (ISO K), and non-ferrous metals (ISO N) as specified in the product data.
Insert seating and torque should follow the holder manufacturer guidelines for GEN2 T-A size 3 tooling. Power down and lock out the spindle before swapping inserts. Inspect the holder seat for chips or wear before indexing a new insert, as debris on the seating surface can cause runout and premature edge failure. This tooling should be installed and set up by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with indexable spade drill systems.
