The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 433T-0121 is a spade drill insert designed for high-productivity drilling operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. It measures 1-21/32 inches in diameter and fits a Seat Size 3 holder, making it a direct-fit replacement insert for compatible GEN2 T-A series drill bodies. The insert is manufactured from M4-grade High Speed Steel and carries a TiN (Titanium Nitride) PVD coating that extends cutting-edge life across a range of workpiece materials. The 132-degree point angle geometry supports clean entry and efficient chip evacuation. Machinist technicians and toolroom personnel are the primary installers of this insert.
This insert is suited for drilling into steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals, covering ISO material codes P, K, and N. Typical applications include through-hole and blind-hole drilling on machining centers, CNC lathes, and drill presses where a replaceable-insert spade drill system is in use. The GEN2 T-A series design allows the insert to be swapped at the machine without removing the drill body from the spindle, reducing downtime in production settings. It is appropriate for both general-purpose shop work and higher-volume production runs where consistent hole quality is required.
Designed for use with GEN2 T-A series Seat Size 3 spade drill bodies that accept a 1-21/32 inch diameter insert. Verify holder seat size and insert diameter match before installation.
Insert installation and replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician with the spindle fully stopped and the machine locked out per applicable lockout/tagout procedures. Use the appropriate insert wrench or torx key as specified by the drill body manufacturer to seat the insert securely. Inspect the seat and clamping screw for wear or damage before installing a new insert. Do not exceed the drill body manufacturer's recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material being drilled.
