The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 25010H-003I is an indexable spade drill body designed for deep-hole drilling applications in metalworking and machining environments. Built on the T-A 1 series platform, this extended-length tool accepts interchangeable spade drill inserts and covers a diameter range of 45/64 inches to 15/16 inches with a maximum drill depth of 10-3/4 inches. The 3MT taper shank mounts directly into compatible Morse taper spindles and tailstocks. Through-coolant delivery via two radial entry ports with 1/8 inches NPT threads keeps the cutting zone clear of chips and controls heat during extended cuts. Installed by machinists and tool-room technicians on lathes, drill presses, and machining centers equipped with Morse taper tooling.
This drill body is suited for general-purpose hole-making across a broad range of workpiece materials, including steel, cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous alloys, and high-temperature alloys, corresponding to material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The extended flute and body length make it appropriate for through-hole and blind-hole applications where standard-length tooling cannot reach depth. The 17-5/32 inches overall length and 13-39/64 inches body length position it for setups where clearance and rigidity must both be managed carefully.
Compatible with T-A 1 series indexable spade drill inserts and the 2T-3SR rotary coolant adapter. Shank interfaces with 3MT Morse taper spindles. Workpiece material compatibility codes: H, K, M, N, P, and S.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or removing the taper shank. Clean the taper bore and shank with a lint-free cloth before mounting to ensure full contact and prevent runout. Verify coolant line connections at the 1/8 inches NPT ports are leak-free before initiating a cut cycle, and confirm the correct spade drill insert is seated and torqued per the insert manufacturer's guidelines.
