The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 25000S-075L is an indexable spade drill designed for drilling operations requiring precise diameter range and extended reach. It covers a drill diameter range of 33/64 to 11/16 inches with a maximum drilling depth of 4-1/2 inches. The body is made of steel and features a straight flute configuration with through-coolant capability via an axial concentric entry port, keeping heat and chips under control during cutting. It belongs to the T-A 0 series and is suited for general-purpose drilling across a wide range of workpiece materials. Machinists and toolroom professionals are the primary installers and operators of this tooling.
This spade drill is rated for universal workpiece material compatibility, covering material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S, which span steels, cast irons, stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys. The extended-length designation makes it well suited for deeper hole applications where standard-length drills cannot reach. With a cylindrical, flatted shank, it seats securely in compatible drill bodies or holders used on CNC machining centers, lathes, and manual machines requiring indexable spade drill tooling.
Designed for use with compatible T-A 0 series spade drill bodies that accept a 3/4 inch flatted cylindrical shank. Suitable for general-purpose drilling across workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolroom and machine shop practices. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Verify that the coolant system is properly connected to the axial concentric entry port before running the tool, as through-coolant flow is critical for chip evacuation and tool life at depth. Follow machine manufacturer torque specifications for set screws or clamping mechanisms used with cylindrical shank tooling.
