The drill produces a 0.7087 inch (18.00 mm) diameter bore with a maximum drill depth of 4.75 inches and an overall length of 10.75 inches. The steel body construction suits heavy-duty cutting environments. It is installed by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop settings where consistent hole geometry in steel workpieces is required.
This spade drill is intended for use on steel workpieces, classified under primary workpiece material code P. Its standard-length body of 5.875 inches and standard flute length of 5.875 inches position it for typical production drilling scenarios. The T-A SS 1 series designation identifies it within Allied Machine and Engineering's T-A indexable drilling platform. The axial concentric and radial coolant entry style (code 3) supports both internal and external coolant delivery, making it well suited for vertical machining centers, lathes, and drill presses equipped with through-spindle coolant systems.
