It accepts interchangeable spade drill inserts and is built around a 3/4-inch flatted cylindrical shank that seats securely in standard drill holders. The drill covers a diameter range of 3/8 to 27/64 inches with a maximum drill depth of 1-1/4 inches, making it well suited to short-reach applications. Through-coolant capability with a 1/8-inch NPT axial concentric entry port supports chip evacuation and tool life in production environments. Machinists and toolroom technicians install this tool in CNC machining centers and manual drill presses where repeatable, close-tolerance holes are required.
The 220Y0S-075L is rated for universal primary workpiece material compatibility, covering steel, stainless, cast iron, non-ferrous, high-temp alloys, and hardened materials as indicated by material codes P, M, K, N, S, and H. The short-length configuration keeps the tool rigid in shallow-hole applications, reducing deflection and improving hole location accuracy. Typical installation scenarios include production drilling on horizontal and vertical machining centers where quick insert indexing is preferred over regrinding solid drills. The Series T-A Y designation identifies the correct replacement insert family for this holder.

Verify coolant supply pressure and flow rate are appropriate for the holder before initiating a drilling cycle.
