Maximum drilling depth reaches 1-1/4 inches. Overall length is 4-7/16 inches. The 220Y0S-075F belongs to the T-A Y Series short-length indexable spade drill line. It is suited for drilling operations in universal workpiece materials including ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, stainless, high-temperature alloys, and cast materials, corresponding to material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The short-length body format is well matched to rigid setups requiring minimal tool overhang and stable cutting conditions. Through-coolant delivery helps manage chip evacuation and heat at the cutting zone during production drilling.
Designed for use with T-A Y Series spade drill blade inserts. Compatible with universal workpiece materials identified by codes H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering a broad range of ferrous and non-ferrous applications. Verify blade insert grade and geometry selection against the specific workpiece material and machine spindle requirements before installation.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with indexable tooling systems. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before inserting or removing the tool body or spade blade inserts. Confirm the flatted shank is properly seated and clamped in the tool holder to the holder manufacturer's specification before running the spindle. Through-coolant connections must be verified leak-free and at the correct operating pressure for the machine before initiating a cut.
