It features a 132-degree point angle optimized for accurate entry and reduced thrust in tough workpiece materials. At 0.1875 inches thick with a 1-9/32 inches cutting diameter, it fits T-A Series seat size 2 holders. Machinists and tool-crib professionals working in production environments or job shops install this insert as a replaceable cutting element in compatible spade drill bodies.
This insert is suited for drilling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, super-alloys, and titanium. Installation is performed by qualified machinists following standard toolroom procedures. Secure the insert fully into the holder pocket and torque the clamp screw per the holder manufacturer's specification before use. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Do not run the insert beyond its rated workpiece material range, as doing so can cause premature edge failure or insert fracture.
