The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 152A-33 is a cobalt spade drill insert designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding production environments. Part of the T-A Series, this insert measures 33 mm in diameter and seats in a Size 2 holder. It features a 132-degree point angle and a TiAlN (titanium aluminum nitride) PVD coating that extends tool life by improving heat and wear resistance at elevated cutting speeds. At 0.1875 inches thick and 0.1 pounds, it is a precision-ground replacement insert intended for use in compatible T-A Series spade drill bodies. Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians in CNC or manual drilling operations.
This insert is suited for drilling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, super-alloys, and titanium — covering ISO workpiece material classifications P, M, K, and S. It is a strong fit for production shops, job shops, and maintenance machining operations where consistent hole quality and insert longevity are priorities across a range of ferrous and exotic workpiece materials.
Designed as a replacement insert for ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING T-A Series spade drill bodies accepting a Size 2 seat. Verify holder seat size and series designation before installation.
Insert replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before removing or seating any insert. Use the appropriate torque wrench and insert screw as specified by the holder manufacturer — do not overtighten or cross-thread the clamping screw. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping surfaces for chips or damage before seating the new insert.
