The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 151T-0026-FB is a spade drill insert designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding industrial and machining applications. Part of the T-A series, this insert measures 13/16 inch in diameter with a 180-degree point angle and is manufactured from cobalt high-speed steel for elevated heat and wear resistance. A PVD-applied TiN coating further extends tool life by reducing friction and built-up edge at the cutting zone. It is sold individually and intended for installation into compatible T-A series spade drill holders. Machinists, tool crib personnel, and CNC operators working in production or job-shop environments specify this insert for consistent, repeatable drilling performance.
This insert is rated for use across a wide range of primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, super-alloys, and titanium, covering ISO material codes P, M, K, and S. It is suited for both general-purpose drilling and more demanding applications involving hard or abrasion-resistant metals. The 180-degree point angle promotes a flat entry and exit, which is particularly useful in interrupted cuts and cross-hole drilling. Seat Size 1 designates the holder interface size, which determines shank and body compatibility within the T-A system. This product ships as a single insert per package with a minimum order quantity of 2.
Designed for use with T-A series spade drill holders accepting Seat Size 1 inserts. Compatible primary workpiece material codes include P (steel), M (stainless steel), K (cast iron), and S (super-alloys and titanium) per ISO classification.
Installation is performed by machinists or tooling technicians following the spade drill holder manufacturer's insert seating and clamping procedure. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and machine power is isolated before changing inserts. Use the correct torque wrench and insert screw specified by the holder manufacturer — do not substitute fasteners or exceed the recommended clamping force. Inspect the holder seat for chips or wear before installing a new insert to ensure proper seating and runout control.
