The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 150T-0019 is a spade drill insert designed for high-performance hole-making in demanding industrial machining applications. This insert measures 19/32 inch in diameter and features a 132-degree point angle optimized for efficient chip formation and accurate entry. Manufactured from T15 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a PVD-applied TiN (titanium nitride) coating, the 150T-0019 delivers elevated wear resistance and extended tool life compared to uncoated alternatives. It fits Seat Size 0 holders in the T-A series system. This insert is specified by machinists and tooling professionals working in production drilling environments.
The 150T-0019 is suited for drilling operations in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, super-alloys, and titanium. These workpiece material classifications correspond to ISO groups P, M, K, and S, covering a broad range of ferrous and exotic alloy applications. Typical installation scenarios include CNC machining centers, manual lathes with live tooling, and drill press setups where consistent hole quality and tool longevity are required. The T-A series modular design allows the insert to be swapped without removing the drill body from the spindle, reducing downtime in production environments.
Designed for use with Seat Size 0 T-A series spade drill bodies. Compatible with primary workpiece materials classified under ISO groups P (steel), M (stainless steel), K (cast iron), and S (super-alloys and titanium).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before removing or seating any drill insert. Ensure the insert seat is clean and free of chips or debris before securing the insert to achieve proper seating torque and alignment. Follow the drill body manufacturer's fastener specifications and inspect the insert for seating contact before resuming cutting operations.
