The ALLIED AIR 40l81 is a flame sensor kit designed for use in gas furnace systems equipped with the SureLight ignition system. The flame sensor monitors the burner flame during operation, confirming ignition and signaling the control board to keep the gas valve open. Without a functioning sensor, the furnace will lock out on a safety fault after each ignition attempt. This kit measures 0.312 to 0.322 inches in diameter and 5.65 inches in length, making it a direct-fit replacement for the applicable unit series.
This flame sensor kit is intended for installation in Allied Air G23, G26, G32, and 90UGF series gas furnaces equipped with the SureLight ignition system. It is suited for residential forced-air heating applications. HVAC technicians servicing these units will encounter this sensor as part of routine diagnostics when a furnace exhibits ignition lockout, nuisance shutdowns, or a no-heat condition caused by a contaminated or failed sensor rod.
Designed for Allied Air G23, G26, G32, and 90UGF series furnaces equipped with the SureLight ignition system.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Shut off power to the furnace at the disconnect and turn off the gas supply before accessing the burner compartment. Inspect the sensor bracket and wiring harness connector during replacement. Verify the sensor rod is fully seated and the mounting screw is secure before restoring power and testing ignition.
