The ALLIED AIR 24Y04 is a high-efficiency downflow gas furnace rated at 97% AFUE and 90,000 BTU/h output. It uses an ECM variable speed motor and two-stage operation to deliver consistent heating while reducing energy consumption. Designed for natural gas installations, this furnace is built for downflow configurations where the air supply exits through the bottom of the unit. Licensed HVAC technicians install this furnace in residential and light commercial applications requiring a high-efficiency, low-emissions heating solution. At 21 inches wide, 28.5 inches deep, and 33 inches tall, it fits standard equipment closets and utility spaces.
The 24Y04 is suited for downflow installations in residential systems matched to up to 5 nominal tons of cooling capacity. Left and right utility connections offer flexible field installation. The removable floor base supports bottom return air configurations. Zero-step horizontal conversion allows adaptation to horizontal airflow when job conditions require it. All units in this product family comply with California South Coast Air Quality Management District Low NOx requirements, making this furnace viable for installations in restricted-emissions jurisdictions including California.
Designed as an OEM downflow gas furnace for residential natural gas heating systems with up to 5 nominal tons of matched cooling capacity. Downflow configuration is required; verify that the air handler or coil cabinet and ductwork layout match before installation.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with the current edition of the International Fuel Gas Code and all applicable local codes. Shut off gas supply and disconnect electrical power before beginning any work. Verify flue venting, gas line sizing, and electrical service meet the furnace requirements prior to startup. Do not attempt to operate this unit without proper venting and gas pressure verification by a qualified technician.
