The ALLIED AIR 18H80A is a single-stage split system heat pump designed for light commercial HVAC applications requiring three-phase power. Rated at 3 tons nominal cooling capacity, this unit operates on a 460-volt, 3-phase, 60 Hz power supply and uses R410A refrigerant. It delivers a 14 SEER efficiency rating and an HSPF of up to 9. The scroll compressor provides reliable compression across a wide operating range, and the unit moves 2,870 CFM of airflow. At 79 dBA, sound output is within a typical commercial equipment range. Licensed HVAC technicians handle installation and commissioning of this equipment.
The 18H80A is suited for commercial installations where three-phase 460-volt infrastructure is already in place. It is designed to pair with indoor air handlers or gas furnaces equipped with indoor add-on coils, making it appropriate for split system configurations in light commercial buildings, retail spaces, or multi-unit facilities. Cooling capacity ranges from 32,400 to 58,500 BTU/h, and heating capacity ranges from 30,000 to 58,500 BTU/h, accommodating varied seasonal load requirements in moderate to warm climates.
Designed for use with indoor air handlers or gas furnaces with indoor add-on coils in split system configurations. Consult the equipment submittal documentation to confirm coil and air handler compatibility before ordering.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding EPA Section 608 certification for R410A refrigerant handling. Disconnect and lock out all power at the breaker before making electrical or refrigerant connections. Verify that the three-phase 460-volt supply circuit is properly sized per NEC requirements before energizing the unit. Follow the manufacturer installation instructions for refrigerant line sizing, condensate drainage, and equipment mounting clearances.
