The ALLIED AIR 10u93 is a factory-replacement pressure switch designed for gas furnace applications in Armstrong and Concord HVAC systems. Pressure switches monitor the negative pressure created by the inducer motor during furnace operation. When the inducer establishes correct draft, the switch closes and allows the ignition sequence to proceed. If the switch detects insufficient pressure, it interrupts the sequence to prevent unsafe combustion conditions. This switch ships with a mounting bracket included. The unit measures 6 inches in length, 4 inches in width, and 4 inches in height, and weighs 0.75 pounds.
The 10u93 pressure switch is intended for residential and light commercial forced-air gas furnace installations using Armstrong or Concord branded equipment. It is suited to applications where the original pressure switch has failed, is stuck open or closed, or shows cracked housing or damaged tubing — common failure points in older inducer-side switch assemblies. Replacement of this switch is a routine service task for licensed HVAC technicians during heating-season maintenance or no-heat calls.
Designed as a factory-approved replacement for Armstrong and Concord gas furnace systems. Refer to the equipment service manual or OEM parts lookup to confirm fitment for your specific model before installation.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Before servicing, shut off electrical power to the furnace at the disconnect switch or breaker and turn the gas supply valve to the off position. Inspect the rubber pressure tubing connected to the switch port for cracks or blockages before installing the new switch, as damaged tubing is a common cause of repeated switch failure. Work must comply with applicable local mechanical codes and the equipment manufacturer's installation instructions.
