The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 7C132P-0112 is a solid carbide spade drill insert designed for high-performance drilling in steel and hard materials. It features a 1-3/8 inch diameter cutting edge, a 140-degree point angle, and an AM300 PVD coating for extended tool life under demanding cutting conditions. Manufactured to a C1 (K35) carbide grade, it fits Seat Size 32 holders in the GEN3SYS XT series. This insert is a direct consumable replacement within the GEN3SYS XT modular spade drilling system and is installed by machinists and tooling technicians in production and job-shop environments.
This insert is suited for drilling operations in steel and hard workpiece materials where consistent hole quality and tool longevity are required. The GEN3SYS XT platform is used in CNC machining centers, lathes, and drill presses across general metalworking and heavy manufacturing applications. It is appropriate for through-hole and blind-hole drilling in ferrous materials. The AM300 coating helps manage heat and wear at the cutting edge during high-feed or high-speed drilling cycles.
Designed for use in ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING GEN3SYS XT series spade drill holders accepting Seat Size 32 inserts. Primary workpiece material compatibility is rated for Steel (P) and Hard Material (H) per the supplier material classification codes.
Spade drill insert changes are performed by qualified machinists or tooling setup personnel with the machine fully powered down and spindle locked. Use the appropriate torx or hex key as specified by the holder manufacturer when seating the insert - do not overtighten or use impact tools. Inspect the holder seat for chips, debris, or wear before installing a new insert, as seat damage will affect runout and hole quality. Follow your facility safety procedures and machine tool manufacturer guidelines during any tooling change.
