The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 75014-IP20-1 is a Torx Plus drive insert screw designed for indexable drilling toolholders. It features an M5 x 0.80 thread and is part of the APX series. This screw secures indexable inserts in compatible toolholders, maintaining precise insert positioning during drilling operations. It is driven with an 8IP-20 key driver. Installation requires correct seating and proper torque to avoid insert movement or damage during cutting. At 0.02 pounds, it is a lightweight but critical hardware component in a properly assembled indexable drill body. Machining professionals and tooling technicians are the primary installers of this component.
This insert screw is used in metal-cutting and machining environments where indexable drilling toolholders are in service. It is compatible with the 240Y0H-075F, 240Y0H-20FM, 250Y0H-075F, and 250Y0H-20FM toolholder styles. It is also compatible with OP-090608-1PW and OP-090608-PW inserts. This part is sold individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 10 units, making it suited for shops that maintain a stock of replacement hardware for their indexable tooling inventory.
Compatible toolholder styles: 240Y0H-075F, 240Y0H-20FM, 250Y0H-075F, and 250Y0H-20FM. Compatible inserts: OP-090608-1PW and OP-090608-PW. Requires 8IP-20 key driver for installation. Part of the APX series indexable drilling system by ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING.
This screw is installed and serviced by machining professionals and tooling technicians familiar with indexable toolholder systems. Before replacing the insert screw, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is removed from the machine. Use only the specified 8IP-20 Torx Plus key driver to avoid stripping the drive recess. Do not substitute non-specified hardware, as incorrect thread engagement or drive type can result in insert ejection during cutting.
