The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 433T-0120 is a spade drill insert designed for high-production drilling applications in metal fabrication and machining environments. Manufactured from M4 high speed steel with a TiN (titanium nitride) PVD coating, this insert delivers extended tool life and reduced heat buildup at the cutting edge. It features a 132-degree point angle suited for clean entry and controlled chip formation across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. At 1-5/8 inches in diameter and built to Seat Size 3 geometry, it fits the GEN2 T-A spade drill holder system. Installation and use are handled by machinists and tooling technicians in shop and production environments.
This insert is intended for use in horizontal and vertical machining centers, drill presses, and CNC lathes where spade-style drilling is preferred for deep-hole or large-diameter applications. The 433T-0120 is compatible with steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals, making it a practical choice for general-purpose production drilling across job shops and manufacturing facilities. It is part of the GEN2 T-A series, which uses an indexable insert-and-holder system that allows fast blade changes without removing the holder from the spindle.
Designed for use with GEN2 T-A series Seat Size 3 spade drill holders. Compatible with workpiece materials including steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the machine powered off and locked out per applicable safety procedures. Seat surfaces on both the insert and holder should be clean and free of chips or debris before seating the blade. Use the manufacturer-specified torque driver or wrench for the holder fastener — do not overtighten by hand or with non-specified tooling. Confirm secure seating and correct insert orientation before resuming spindle operation.
