The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 240Y0S-002I is an indexable spade drill designed for general-purpose drilling operations in a wide range of workpiece materials. It accepts spade drill inserts and uses a straight flute geometry paired with a No. 2 Morse taper shank for rigid, concentric seating in compatible taper-shank toolholders and spindles. The drill supports through-coolant delivery via two radial coolant entry ports with 1/16-inch NPT threads, keeping cutting edges cool and flushing chips during deep-hole operations. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on manual or CNC drilling equipment.

This indexable spade drill is suited for production and job-shop environments where a single body accepts interchangeable spade inserts across a diameter range of 3/8 to 27/64 inches with a maximum drilling depth of 2-3/8 inches.
