The ALLIED MACHINE AND ENGINEERING 152T-26-FB is a spade drill insert designed for high-performance drilling in demanding metal-cutting applications. Built from Super Cobalt and coated with Titanium Nitride (TiN) via a PVD process, this insert delivers extended tool life and improved wear resistance in production drilling environments. The 180-degree point angle supports flat-bottom entry and exit geometry. At 26.00 mm in diameter and 0.1875 inches thick, it is a Seat Size 2 insert compatible with T-A series spade drill holders. Machinists and tooling technicians working in job shop or production settings are the primary installers.
This insert is engineered for use in the T-A spade drill system, a modular tooling platform common in CNC machining centers, lathes, and drill presses. It is suited for through-hole and blind-hole drilling operations across a range of workpiece materials including Steel, Stainless Steel, Cast Iron, Superalloys, and Titanium. The T-A system allows rapid insert changes without removing the holder from the spindle, making this a practical choice for high-volume production runs where minimizing downtime is essential.
Designed for use with T-A series spade drill holders accepting Seat Size 2 inserts at 26.00 mm diameter. Workpiece material compatibility classifications include P (Steel), M (Stainless Steel), K (Cast Iron), and S (Superalloys and Titanium).
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Before changing the insert, disengage the spindle and ensure the machine is fully powered down and locked out per facility LOTO procedures. Use the appropriate torque wrench and insert screws specified for T-A series holders — do not overtighten or substitute fasteners. Inspect the holder pocket and seating surfaces for chips or damage before seating the new insert.
