The ALL-PRO EMERGENCY APEL is a universal junction box type emergency light unit designed for commercial electrical installations. It operates on AC input of 120/277 volts at 60 Hz and switches to a 3.6-volt sealed nickel cadmium battery during a power loss event. The unit houses two round LED lamp heads, each drawing 0.78 watts, for a combined lamp wattage of approximately 1.56 watts. The enclosure is injection molded from high impact thermoplastic, offering resistance to impact and surface scratching. Licensed electricians install this unit as part of a compliant emergency egress lighting system. It carries UL 924 approval and meets NFPA 101 life safety code requirements.
The APEL is rated for commercial damp location applications and mounts directly to a standard junction box, simplifying rough-in on new construction or retrofit projects. The textured white thermoplastic housing blends with standard ceiling and wall finishes. With a 1.56 watt-hour battery capacity rated for 1.5 hours of runtime, the unit meets the minimum emergency illumination duration required under NFPA 101 and NEC egress lighting provisions. It is well suited for corridors, stairwells, exit pathways, and other commercial occupancy spaces requiring code-compliant emergency lighting coverage.

Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC Article 700 requirements for emergency lighting systems. Power down and lock out the branch circuit at the panel before wiring the unit to the junction box. Follow the authority having jurisdiction requirements for periodic battery load testing as specified under NFPA 101. Do not install in wet locations; this unit is rated for damp locations only.
