The Alarm Controls Corporation RP-20 is a D-hole push button designed for use in access control and exit device applications. The D-hole mounting configuration allows the button to be installed directly into a pre-drilled D-shaped cutout on a door or panel surface. This type of push button is typically wired into an access control system or electric strike circuit to signal door release or entry requests. Licensed electricians and low-voltage access control technicians are the primary installers. The RP-20 ships as a single unit and is suited for both light commercial and residential access control installations.
The RP-20 is used in door access control systems where a momentary contact push button is needed to request exit or entry. The D-hole form factor makes it compatible with standard panel cutouts commonly found in door frames, security panels, and intercom station housings. It is a practical, no-frills solution for installations where a clean flush-mounted button is required without a full mullion or surface-mount housing.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation push button for access control systems requiring a D-hole mounted momentary contact device.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or certified low-voltage access control technician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. Disconnect and de-energize the access control system circuit before mounting or wiring the button. Ensure the panel or door cutout matches the D-hole specification before installation. Do not apply line voltage to a device rated for low-voltage access control circuits.
