Product Description

The AIREX TA20251 is a 20 x 25 x 1 inch disposable fiberglass panel air filter designed for residential and light commercial HVAC and air conditioning applications. Built with Polystrand fiberglass media, the filter uses a continuous-strand construction measuring more than 3.5 microns per fiber, which classifies the fibers as nonrespirable. The media is loosely spun on the air-entering side and progressively woven tighter toward the air-exiting side, creating a heavy laminated backing. This graduated density design increases dust holding capacity and helps prevent surface loading. The filter is rated for airflow between 1050 and 1750 CFM and carries a MERV equivalent value of 4 to 5.

The TA20251 fits standard 20 x 25 x 1 inch filter slots found in forced-air furnaces, air handlers, and central air conditioning units. It is suited for residential systems and light commercial installations where an economical, disposable fiberglass filter is the specified media type. The heavy-duty moisture-resistant white Kraft board frame holds its shape in high-humidity return-air environments. The filter is UL listed and performs reliably at continuous operating temperatures up to 180 degrees F, with an intermittent rating of 200 degrees F.
