Product Description

The AIREX TA16241 is a 16 x 24 x 1 inch disposable fiberglass panel air filter designed for residential and light commercial air conditioning and HVAC systems. It uses Polystrand fiberglass media, a continuous-strand material exceeding 3.5 microns in diameter, which classifies the fibers as nonrespirable. The media is fully encapsulated and spun loosely on the air-entering side, then progressively woven tighter toward the air-exiting side. This graduated density increases dust-holding capacity, reduces surface loading, and adds structural integrity to the filter body. The frame is a heavy-duty moisture-resistant white Kraft board. MERV equivalent value is 4 to 5.

The TA16241 is suited for standard 1-inch filter slots in residential split systems, package units, and air handlers where a cost-effective disposable filter is appropriate.
