The AIREX TA14301 is a disposable fiberglass panel air filter rated MERV 4 to 5, designed for residential and light commercial air conditioning and HVAC applications. It measures 14 x 30 x 1 inches and uses Polystrand fiberglass media that is fully encapsulated to create a safe, non-respirable fiber structure. The continuous-strand fibers measure more than 3.5 microns, which keeps them out of the lower respiratory tract. The media is loosely spun on the air-entering side and progressively woven tighter on the air-exiting side, forming a heavy laminated backing that improves dust-holding capacity and resists surface loading. Licensed HVAC technicians and facilities maintenance staff install this filter in standard 1-inch filter slots.
This filter suits residential and light commercial air conditioning units where a low-cost, disposable panel filter is the specified replacement interval solution. The 14 x 30 x 1 inch nominal size fits standard filter racks and return-air grilles of matching dimensions. Its temperature rating of 180 degrees F continuous and 200 degrees F intermittent makes it suitable for forced-air systems that see typical duct operating temperatures. The UL-listed construction meets standard fire and safety requirements for air filtration media used in HVAC equipment.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement disposable panel filter for residential and light commercial air conditioning units with a 14 x 30 x 1 inch filter slot.
Installation is performed by a licensed HVAC technician or qualified maintenance personnel. Power down or turn the system to the off position at the thermostat before opening the filter access panel. Confirm the airflow direction arrow on the filter frame aligns with the direction of air movement toward the blower. Dispose of the used filter in accordance with local waste handling guidelines and replace on the schedule recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
