It uses Polystrand fiberglass media, a continuous-strand material measuring more than 3.5 microns in diameter, making the fibers non-respirable and safer than standard cut-glass media. The media is fully encapsulated in a protective binder and features a graduated weave: loosely spun on the air-entering side and progressively tighter on the air-exiting side. This construction increases dust-holding capacity, reduces surface loading, and adds structural integrity to the filter pad.
