The AIPHONE LEF-5C is an open-voice, selective-call master intercom station designed for multi-room and multi-door audio communication systems. It provides two-way audio between a master station and up to five connected door or sub-master intercom units. Built-in LED-indicator buttons let the installer direct calls to specific intercoms with precision. The station includes an all-call button for broadcasting messages or music to every connected unit when paired with an Aiphone BG-10C adapter, and a dedicated door-release button for electric-strike access control when used with an Aiphone RY-PA relay. Licensed low-voltage technicians and commercial communications installers typically handle setup and wiring.
The LEF-5C is suited for residential and light-commercial intercom systems where selective-call functionality and door-release control are required. It works with any combination of up to five Aiphone LAF and LEF Series master intercoms or LA, LE, and LS Series door and sub-master intercoms. Typical applications include apartment entry points, office suites, and multi-room facilities where staff need to screen visitors at a door and communicate across rooms from a central master station.
Works with any combination of up to five Aiphone LAF and LEF Series master intercoms or LA, LE, and LS Series door and sub-master intercoms. Requires an Aiphone RY-PA relay (sold separately) at each intercom for door-release and auxiliary device connections. All-call broadcast function requires an Aiphone BG-10C adapter (sold separately).
Installation is typically performed by a licensed low-voltage or communications technician familiar with intercom wiring practices. Power down the entire intercom system before making or changing wiring connections. Each intercom station in the system must be connected to its own Aiphone RY-PA relay for access control and auxiliary device integration. Consult local electrical codes and the manufacturer wiring diagrams before commissioning the system.
