The AG MANUFACTURING 229 is a 7-mil PVC electrical tape designed for insulation, color-coding, and general electrical applications. Measuring 0.75 inches wide by 60 feet long, this roll provides a solid length of coverage for standard wiring tasks. The orange color makes it suitable for phase identification, cable marking, and circuit differentiation in residential and commercial electrical work. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors are the primary installers, though the tape is also used by HVAC technicians and plumbers for color-coded pipe and conduit marking.
This tape is suited for use on low-voltage wiring, conduit bundles, and cable harnesses where color identification is required. The 7-mil thickness provides reliable insulation and conformability around irregular surfaces. Orange coloring is commonly used in multi-phase or low-voltage marking applications. Standard 0.75-inch width fits most hand-held tape dispensers used in the trade.
Designed as a standard 0.75-inch PVC electrical tape for use in residential and commercial electrical, HVAC, and light plumbing applications where color-coded tape marking is required.
Electrical tape application should follow applicable NEC guidelines for insulation and conductor identification. Ensure surfaces are clean and dry before applying tape for proper adhesion. Do not use as a primary insulation replacement on damaged conductors where code requires a listed insulation repair method. No tools are required for application; standard hand-held tape dispensers are optional.
