The ADVANCED DISTRIBUTOR PRODUCTS tac30b is a 2.5-ton cased-A evaporator coil rated at 30,000 BTU/h, designed for split-system residential and light commercial air conditioning and heat pump applications. Built with aluminum coil construction, it uses R-410A refrigerant and is equipped with a thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) metering device for accurate refrigerant flow control. The multi-position configuration allows installation in upflow, downflow, or horizontal orientations, giving HVAC technicians flexibility during system design and retrofit work. This coil is a direct-fit indoor section component matched to compatible outdoor condensing units.
The tac30b is suited for residential split-system cooling installations where a 2.5-ton capacity is required. Its multi-position design makes it adaptable to a range of air handler and furnace configurations. The 18-inch width fits standard cabinet openings in residential forced-air systems. HVAC technicians typically install this coil above or beside a gas furnace, or inside a dedicated air handler, as the indoor heat exchange section of a split cooling system.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation cased-A evaporator coil for residential split-system air conditioning and heat pump systems using R-410A refrigerant at 2.5-ton capacity.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding an EPA 608 certification for handling R-410A refrigerant. Shut down and de-energize the entire system before connecting or disconnecting refrigerant lines. Confirm that the outdoor condensing unit capacity and refrigerant type match this coil before commissioning. Follow local mechanical codes and manufacturer guidelines for drain pan, condensate line, and supply plenum connections.
