Configured for left-hand orientation, this coil uses a thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) as its metering device and is charged for use with R-454B refrigerant. The coil measures 20 inches in C-width and 23 inches in height, fitting standard residential upflow applications in the 2.5 to 3 ton capacity range. A refrigerant distribution system (RDS) kit is included. Installation requires a licensed HVAC technician working with equipment rated for R-454B, an A2L classified refrigerant.
This coil is suited for residential upflow cooling systems in the 2.5 to 3 ton range. The uncased design allows it to be installed inside an existing coil cabinet or air handler cabinet where the installer supplies the casing. It is specified for use with Allied 2.5 and 3 ton 7AC unit families. The left-hand orientation must be matched to the system configuration during installation planning.
