The ADP HE8J936A140A0000AP is an uncased evaporator coil designed for residential and light-commercial split-system air conditioning and heat pump applications. Rated for 1.5 to 2.5 nominal tons, it ships with a factory-installed TXV (thermostatic expansion valve) for accurate refrigerant metering and consistent system efficiency across the rated capacity range. The right-hand orientation and multi-position design give installing technicians flexibility when fitting the coil into an existing air handler or furnace cabinet. At 14 inches wide, 17 inches tall, and 19.5 inches deep, it fits a range of standard cabinet configurations without modification in most cases.
This coil is suited for new installations and direct replacements in residential split systems where an uncased coil is specified. The multi-position capability allows installation in upflow, downflow, or horizontal orientations depending on system layout. Because the coil is uncased, it must be installed inside a compatible air handler cabinet or field-fabricated enclosure that provides a sealed plenum. The right-hand refrigerant connection configuration determines which side the suction and liquid lines enter, so line-set routing should be confirmed before installation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation evaporator coil for residential split-system air conditioners and heat pumps requiring an uncased coil in the 1.5 to 2.5 nominal ton range with a right-hand TXV connection.
Installation should be performed by an EPA Section 608-certified HVAC technician. Shut down and lock out the air handler and disconnect all electrical power before handling the coil. Confirm that the cabinet or enclosure provides a fully sealed drain pan and plenum to prevent condensate leakage and bypass air. Verify refrigerant line connections, drain line pitch, and system refrigerant charge according to the outdoor unit manufacturer specifications before returning the system to service.
