The ADVANCED DISTRIBUTOR PRODUCTS ha14142a200a0004s is an uncased evaporator A-coil rated at 3.5 tons, designed for upflow and downflow air handler and furnace installations. Built for left-hand orientation, this coil ships without a cabinet, making it well suited for applications where the installer provides a custom enclosure or where a tight furnace cavity demands a lower-profile solution. The coil uses R-410A refrigerant and is metered by a piston-type metering device. At 20 inches wide, it fits standard residential furnace openings. HVAC technicians installing split-system cooling or heat pump equipment are the primary installers for this coil.
This uncased A-coil is intended for residential and light commercial split-system applications where an upflow or downflow configuration is required. Its left-hand orientation suits installations where refrigerant line access comes from the left side of the unit. The 20-inch width aligns with common furnace cabinet dimensions, reducing the need for custom plenum work. Installers working with R-410A-charged systems will find the piston metering device straightforward to match with compatible condensing units.
Designed as an OEM-style uncased evaporator coil for use in residential upflow and downflow split-system or heat pump applications requiring a 3.5-ton, 20-inch-wide, left-hand-orientation coil with R-410A and piston metering.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power and close the refrigerant service valves before beginning coil removal or installation. Because this coil is uncased, the installer is responsible for providing a properly sealed enclosure that meets local mechanical and energy codes. After installation, leak-test all refrigerant connections before evacuating and recharging the system per EPA Section 608 requirements.
