The ADP AE33136D145 is a cased evaporator coil rated at 3 tons (36,000 BTU/h), designed for residential split-system air conditioners and heat pumps. It uses a piston metering device and is compatible with R-410A refrigerant. The right-hand cased cabinet is fully lined with 5/8-inch foil-faced insulation to minimize air leakage, tested at 1 percent or less per Intertek lab standards. Copper refrigerant connections simplify brazing on both copper and aluminum slab configurations. Licensed HVAC technicians install this coil in the indoor air handler or furnace cabinet as part of a split cooling or heat pump system.
This coil is suited for residential ducted cooling and heat pump applications. It is listed as a direct replacement for Ducane and Aire-Flo air conditioner and heat pump systems. The piston metering device includes an externally accessible body for straightforward piston swap or TXV conversion in the field, making it adaptable for system upgrades without full coil replacement. The superseded part number is DE33136C145.
Listed as an OEM-style replacement for Ducane and Aire-Flo split-system air conditioners and heat pumps. Replaces part number DE33136C145. Compatible with R-410A refrigerant systems. Threaded expansion valves are available factory installed or as a field-installed kit for TXV-based systems.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with applicable mechanical codes. Shut off all power to the air handler and disconnect the refrigerant circuit before removing the existing coil. Copper refrigerant stubs are designed for brazing; follow standard refrigeration brazing practices and purge with dry nitrogen during the process. Verify condensate drain connections are properly trapped and pitched per local plumbing code requirements before commissioning the system.
