The ADI PRO WIRE 0E-CMR6ORPR is a Cat6 riser-rated twisted-pair data cable designed for structured wiring installations inside commercial and residential buildings. Built to CMR (Communications Multipurpose Cable, Riser) and FT4 flame-spread standards, this cable is suited for vertical runs between floors where fire-code compliance is required. The 23 AWG, 4-pair construction delivers reliable Gigabit Ethernet and PoE performance across horizontal and backbone cable runs. The orange jacket aids in quick visual identification during installation and future maintenance.
This cable is intended for in-wall and in-conduit riser installations handled by low-voltage cabling technicians and licensed electricians. It supports structured cabling systems in office buildings, schools, multi-family residential properties, and light commercial environments. The 1,000-foot pull box format is practical for new construction and large retrofit projects where continuous runs are common. FT4 rating meets Canadian fire-safety requirements, making this cable appropriate for projects governed by both NEC and Canadian Electrical Code standards.
Designed as an OEM-style riser cable for use with standard Cat6 keystone jacks, patch panels, and modular plugs that terminate 23 AWG solid-conductor twisted-pair cable.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage technician or licensed electrician in accordance with NEC Article 800 and applicable local codes. Verify that riser-rated cable is required for the specific pathway before pulling; plenum-rated cable (CMP) is required in air-handling spaces and is not interchangeable with CMR. Use proper cable-pulling lubricant and avoid exceeding the minimum bend radius or maximum pulling tension specified for Cat6 cable to prevent pair damage. Terminate both ends using Cat6-rated punch-down tools or crimp tooling appropriate for 23 AWG solid conductors.
