The ACIQ aciq quad zone r454b is a ductless, four-zone mini split heat pump system designed for residential heating and cooling applications. The system uses R454B refrigerant and an inverter-driven compressor to deliver both heating and cooling across four independent zones. Efficiency ratings range from 16 to 20 SEER2, keeping operating costs in check across a wide range of climate conditions. Each zone receives its own dedicated air-handling unit along with a wireless electronic temperature controller, giving occupants independent control over their individual spaces. Licensed HVAC technicians install and commission this type of system.
This system is suited for residential applications where multiple living spaces require independent climate control without the need for ductwork. Typical installations include multi-room homes, additions, converted spaces, or any structure where a ducted system is impractical or unavailable. The four-zone configuration allows a single outdoor condensing unit to serve up to four interior air handlers, each operating on its own temperature setpoint. This makes the system well-suited for situations where occupant schedules or comfort preferences vary by room.
Designed as an OEM-style ductless mini split system for residential four-zone heating and cooling installations requiring R454B refrigerant.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding an EPA Section 608 certification, as R454B is a regulated refrigerant requiring proper handling equipment. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power to the system before making any wiring or refrigerant connections. Line set routing, flaring, and evacuation procedures should follow the manufacturer guidelines and applicable local mechanical codes. Do not mix refrigerant types or use equipment rated for R410A without verifying compatibility with R454B.
