The ACIQ 84134 is a pre-assembled liquidtight AC disconnect whip designed for connecting air conditioning condensing units to their power supply disconnect. Built in a 3/4 inch trade size and measuring 4 feet in length, it uses 8 gauge THHN/THWN conductors in black, red, and green. The assembly ships ready to install, eliminating field-assembly time on the condenser connection. One straight non-metallic liquidtight connector and one 90-degree non-metallic liquidtight connector are included, giving installers flexibility for straight or angled entry into the disconnect or unit whip port. Manufactured in the USA.
This whip is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC installations where a pre-made, code-ready connection between the condensing unit and the local disconnect is required. The liquidtight non-metallic conduit protects conductors from moisture, UV exposure, and mechanical abrasion in outdoor equipment installations. Electricians and HVAC technicians use this style of whip as a time-saving alternative to field-cutting and terminating individual conductors at the condensing unit connection point.
Designed as a pre-assembled OEM-style AC disconnect whip for residential and light commercial air conditioning condensing units requiring a 3/4 inch liquidtight non-metallic conduit connection.
This whip is typically installed by a licensed electrician or HVAC technician in accordance with NEC Article 440 requirements for air conditioning equipment. Always disconnect and lock out power at the main panel before terminating conductors at the disconnect or condensing unit. Verify that conductor gauge and conduit trade size are compatible with the equipment nameplate ampacity ratings before completing the connection. Ensure liquidtight connectors are fully seated and tightened to maintain the moisture-resistant integrity of the assembly in outdoor applications.
