The ACI B5-CO-250P-0-X is a BACnet MSTP smart sensor designed to monitor carbon dioxide concentrations across a range of 0 to 5% volume (0 to 250 ppm per displayed range). It communicates CO2 readings over a BACnet MS/TP network and includes three SPDT relays for direct control or alarm output functions. The sensor is housed in a NEMA 4X enclosure, providing protection against dust, water ingress, and corrosion. An onboard display allows technicians to read values locally without connecting to a network. This unit is installed by instrumentation technicians, building automation specialists, and industrial controls professionals.
The B5-CO-250P-0-X is suited for demanding environments where continuous CO2 monitoring is required. Typical applications include industrial facilities, oil and gas operations, laboratories, agricultural settings, transportation environments, and mining operations. The NEMA 4X rating makes it appropriate for both indoor and outdoor installations where the sensor may be exposed to washdown conditions or harsh ambient environments. The BACnet MS/TP communication protocol integrates directly into standard building automation and industrial control systems.
Designed for use in BACnet MS/TP building automation and industrial control networks across industrial, oil and gas, laboratory, agricultural, transportation, and mining applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified instrumentation or building automation technician familiar with BACnet MS/TP wiring and network configuration. Power down all associated control circuits before wiring the sensor or relay outputs. Ensure the enclosure seal is fully engaged after wiring to maintain the NEMA 4X rating. Verify MS/TP bus termination and address settings before commissioning the device on the network.
