The ACCUPRO T2634722B is a spiral flute tap designed for cutting 3/4-16 UNF internal threads in through-holes and shallow blind holes. Built from 3 percent vanadium high-speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, it delivers reliable wear resistance across a range of workpiece materials. The modified bottoming chamfer allows threading close to the bottom of a blind hole while still providing adequate chip clearance. With four right-hand flutes at a 33-degree helix angle, the tap efficiently evacuates chips upward out of the hole, reducing the risk of chip packing during production runs. Machinists and toolroom technicians use this tap in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual tapping operations.
This tap suits precision threading work in job shops, production machining environments, and maintenance operations where 3/4-16 UNF threads are required. The 2B class of fit is the standard commercial tolerance for 3/4-16 inch UNF threaded assemblies, making this tap appropriate for general fastener and mechanical assembly applications. The 25 mm thread length accommodates typical thread engagement requirements for this thread size, and the 4.25 inch overall length provides adequate clearance for most standard toolholders and tap handles.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use spiral flute tap for applications requiring a 3/4-16 UNF, 2B class of fit, modified bottoming tap in standard tap handles, floating holders, and CNC rigid tapping chucks accepting a 14.99 mm shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with tapping speeds, feeds, and cutting fluid requirements for the workpiece material. Power down and lock out the machine before loading or removing the tap from the holder. Always use an appropriate cutting fluid or tapping compound to extend tool life and improve thread quality. Inspect the tap for chipping or wear before each use and replace if damage is detected to avoid thread damage or tap breakage in the workpiece.
