The ACCUPRO T2634485 is a spiral flute tap designed for threading 3/8-16 inch holes in production and maintenance machining applications. Built from 3% vanadium high-speed steel with a bright/uncoated finish, it delivers solid wear resistance in a range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. The tap features 3 right-hand flutes with a 33-degree helix angle, which helps evacuate chips upward out of the hole during tapping. The modified bottoming chamfer allows threading close to the bottom of blind holes while still providing enough lead to start cleanly. Overall length is 2-15/16 inches with a thread length of 16 mm. This tap is intended for machinists, tool and die makers, and maintenance technicians working with standard fractional inch thread forms.

This tap is suited for blind-hole and through-hole applications where a 3/8-16 UNC thread form is required.
