The plug chamfer style distributes cutting load across the first several threads, making it well suited for through-hole tapping. With an overall length of 3.594 inches (91.28 mm), a thread length of 30 mm, and a shank diameter of 10.90 mm, this tap fits standard tap holders and CNC tooling. The 9/16-12 UNC thread form and Class 2B fit tolerance make it a common choice for general-purpose fastener hole preparation.
