The ACCUPRO SCCMG-1414-DP-P is a solid carbide drill mill designed for combined drilling and milling operations in a single tool. With a 7/16 inch diameter, a 90-degree point angle, and four flutes, this tool is built for precision material removal in ferrous and non-ferrous applications. The micrograin carbide substrate provides hardness and wear resistance suitable for production machining environments. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard CNC machining center spindle rotation. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this style of drill mill to reduce tool changes and maintain positional accuracy when transitioning between drilling and peripheral milling passes.
This drill mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers and knee mills where a single tool must handle spotting, drilling, and light milling operations. The uncoated finish makes it a practical choice for aluminum, brass, and other non-ferrous materials where coating adhesion is less critical and re-sharpening is preferred. The 1 inch length of cut accommodates moderate depth applications without excessive tool deflection. It is appropriate for job shop, production, and toolroom environments where a reliable, general-purpose carbide drill mill is needed.
Designed as a general-purpose solid carbide drill mill for use in standard CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 7/16 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder rated for the 7/16 inch shank diameter and confirm runout is within acceptable limits before production cutting. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling guidelines for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut appropriate to the workpiece material.
