The ACCUPRO MB015050 is a submicron solid carbide boring bar designed for precision small-bore machining operations. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.015 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.050 inches (3/64 inches), this tool is built for tight-tolerance internal turning work on very small diameter features. The bright finish coating reduces friction and aids chip evacuation. The 1/8-inch shank diameter and 1.5-inch overall length make it well suited for use in small Swiss-type, CNC lathe, or bench-top turning setups where access to confined bores is required. This boring bar is intended for precision machining environments where extremely small bore diameters are required. Typical applications include micro-bore finishing passes on small components such as medical parts, watch components, instrument housings, and hydraulic valve bodies. The right-hand cutting direction suits standard right-hand spindle rotation. This boring bar is installed and operated by machinists on CNC lathes, Swiss-type machines, or manual bench lathes. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Confirm shank runout and tool overhang are within the machine tool manufacturer specifications before cutting. Use the minimum overhang necessary to reach bore depth in order to preserve rigidity and avoid chatter.
