The ACCUPRO EM99943871 is a solid carbide chamfer mill designed for chamfering, deburring, and edge-breaking operations on metallic workpieces. It features a 1/2 inch cutter head diameter with four flutes and a single-end configuration. The tool is finished with an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, which improves wear resistance and thermal stability during high-speed and dry-cutting applications. With an overall length of 3 inches and a 1/2 inch shank diameter, this mill fits standard ER and side-lock toolholders common in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. Machinists and toolroom operators select this tool for consistent chamfer geometry on steel, stainless, cast iron, and hardened alloys.
This chamfer mill is suited for use in production machining environments where repeatable edge preparation is required. Its right-hand cutting direction matches standard spindle rotation on vertical and horizontal machining centers. The AlTiN coating makes it a strong candidate for dry or near-dry machining of ferrous materials where coolant is restricted or where tool life in elevated-temperature cutting zones is a concern. The tool ships individually and is used by machinists, CNC operators, and tool-and-die professionals.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement-style chamfer mill for use in standard 1/2 inch ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and side-lock toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before seating or removing the tool from its holder. Verify shank seating depth meets the toolholder manufacturer minimum engagement requirement before tightening. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or coating damage before each use, as carbide tools are brittle and should not be subjected to impact or over-clamping torque.
