The ACCUPRO EM99943865 is a solid carbide chamfer mill designed for chamfering, deburring, and countersinking operations on metallic and composite workpieces. It features a 0.25 inch cutter head diameter with three flutes ground in a right-hand cutting direction. The tool is coated with AlTiN, an aluminum titanium nitride coating that improves heat resistance and extends tool life in dry and semi-dry machining conditions. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 0.25 inch shank diameter, it is sized for standard CNC machining centers and manual mills. Machinists and tool and die professionals reach for this end mill when clean chamfer geometry and coating durability are priorities.
This chamfer mill is suited for production and job-shop environments where consistent edge preparation is required on steel, stainless, cast iron, and hardened alloys. The single-end configuration makes it a straightforward replacement consumable. Typical applications include deburring drilled holes, preparing weld joints, and cutting 45-degree or variable-angle chamfers on part edges. The AlTiN coating performs well at elevated cutting temperatures, making this tool a practical choice for high-speed machining passes without coolant-through capability.
Designed as a standard replacement chamfer mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 0.25 inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the equipment manufacturer's toolholder torque and runout specifications. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool. Verify shank seating depth and collet engagement before beginning a cut. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut for the material being machined, as solid carbide tools are brittle and susceptible to breakage under side-load shock.
